Lady Savage Fast Pitch player Channing Scallorn was recently named a starter on the 3A/4A Middle East All-State team. Channing was a four year starter for the Lady Savages and played everything from pitcher to shortstop over her career, playing mostly shortstop her senior year.

"She's an unbelievably hard worker," according to head coach Chad Trahan, "she's always been 100 percent committed to Tecumseh High School Softball for the entire four years. She never missed a practice over that four year period and she's a very loyal person."

Channing had a .491 batting average her senior year and was a career .430 hitter for the Lady Savages. "One of the most impressive stats to me," said Trahan, "was that she had 405 at bats and only struck out 10 times. In her junior year, she never struck out."

Channing was the second middle infielder chosen for the All-State Game. The game will be played the first week of June in Edmond at the Oklahoma Christian University softball stadium. Channing has verbally committed to Murray State to continue her softball playing career.

Channing was also recently named to the North Canadian River Conference All-Conference squad. Also joining her as All-Conference are Lady Savages Harley Sturm and Ayzia Shirey.
