On Friday, Oct 26, Shawnee traveled to Tulsa Oklahoma to take on the Bixby Spartans. The Spartans came in to this game with a seven-game winning streak. On Friday night, the Spartans pushed it to eight, taming the Wolves of Shawnee 41-7.

The Spartan defense came into this game boasting three shutouts and keeping five of their eight opponents under 20 points. That defense completely shut down the Shawnee offense, with Shawnee QB Heath Hunter throwing for 120 yds. on 14 of 26 passing and two interceptions (INTs) and Running Back (RB) Trejaun Shaw picking up a grand total of 27 yards. The only score of the night for the Wolves came from the Special Teams as Cyncere Spencer took a kick-off back to the house.

Big, steady plays were what killed the Shawnee defense, as they gave up an average of 13.2 yards per completion on the night and 7.2 yards per rushing attempt, with the Spartans leading rusher gaining an average of 15 yards every time he touched the ball. The Wolves did pick off the Spartans once. Linebacker (LB) Elijah Powis was the team's leading tackler for the second week in a row, ending his night with nine tackles, four of them being for loss.

The Spartan offense totaled for 527 yards, with a balanced attack of 291 through the air and 236 on the ground. Quarterback (QB) Mason Williams was attributed 267 of those 291 yards while adding three scores. The Spartans leading rusher and receiver were Braylin Presley (136 yds. 2 TDs) and Clayton Barbour (78 yds. 1 TD), respectively. 8-1 Bixby travels to Muskogee next, a team that beat Shawnee 35-26 earlier in the month, to close out their season.

The 2-7 Shawnee Wolves head back home for their final game of the season against the 3-6 Bartlesville Bruins on Friday, Nov 2nd. The Bruins also lost to Bixby earlier this month 65-6.
