City's Oldest Church Has New Owners And New Purpose

It’s as though they were coming back the next Sunday. The Bible is open on the altar, the collection plates are at the ready, and hymnals are in the backs of the pews.

But no one has been to church at Tecumseh’s First Presbyterian since late September of 2017 when the congregation gathered for its final service at the city’s oldest church building on the southwest corner of Main and Broadway. In the months since, the community has wondered about the fate of the historic building.
