Carl Nelson Lackey, 75, Tecumseh, Oklahoma, died Friday, December 7, 2018, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was born Feb. 12, 1943, to Fred Nelson and Oney Marie Lackey in Orange, California. He graduated from Orange High School in the class of 1960. He started his lifelong career as a truck driver hauling eggs for Olson Eggs. He has hauled many things in his career, but he mainly loved to haul hay.

He married Sharel Lee Ream on Feb. 29, 1964, in Santa Ana, California.

His favorite pastime was to buy, sell, and trade. He was a member of Bethel Acres Assembly and always was helping others. He loved being in his shop working on many projects. He frequented the weekly Thursday night auction in Maud.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Neva Dimmick.

He is survived by his wife, Sharel Lackey, of the home; sons Gregory Lackey of Shawnee; and Mark and Lisa Boisvert of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren and spouses Jessica and Frank Damron, Vicki Lackey, Gregory T. and Ashley Lackey; great-grandchildren Branson Damron, Sutton Baker, Gavin Lackey, Brooklyn Damron, and Eastlyn Damron.

Services were held Dec. 12 at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Reverend Larry Townsend of Bethel Acres Assembly officiating. Burial followed at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
