Looking Back Over Dr. King's Legacy

(Editor's Note: This column was written in 1988 but is still timely today, especially as we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.)

In April of 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. was killed in Memphis.

He was killed by a white man who hated black men, we are told. I didn't understand that at the time. I still don't.
