Lady Wolves Winning Streak Places Them No. 2 In 6A

Shawnee High School Senior Lauren Fields has been named a 42nd annual McDonald's All American Games nominee.  Fields joins a list of the more than 800 top male and female high school basketball players from across the country to be nominated for the chance to play in the prestigious game. Fields, who has signed to play for the University of California, Berkeley, is one of only five female basketball players from Oklahoma to receive the nomination this year. Final rosters for the 2019 McDonald's All American Games will be revealed today on ESPN. If chosen by the Games' selection committee as one of the top 24 girls to play in the annual event, Fields will be invited to take the court on March 27 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Shawnee's season of continued winning earned the Lady Wolves the No. 2 spot in 6A behind Putnam City West after Edmond Memorial dropped.
