Shawnee Receives $5,000 Donation From OBU Graduates

Recent music graduates from Oklahoma Baptist University presented a $5,000 check to Dr. April Grace and Shawnee School Board members during Monday's board meeting. The students had raised the money to benefit Shawnee Middle School and Shawnee High School choir programs. Pictured are (bottom row, from left) Dr. Christopher Mathews, Dean of the Warren M. As Shawnee Board of Education members settled in their seats Monday night to begin June meeting preparations for the start of a new fiscal year, an OBU administrator stepped forward to introduce two recent OBU music graduates with a $5,000 check to present to Supt. Dr. April Grace and the board....
