Clarissia A. Catlett


Clarrissia A. Catlett, 90, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at a local hospital.

Services were held June 28 in the Chapel of Walker Funeral Service. Burial followed in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Clarrissia was born in Seminole County on May 18, 1929, to Andy and Bertha (Carr) Lee.

On Jan. 6, 1947, she married Joel T. Catlett. They moved to Shawnee and raised two children.

She was an active longtime member of the First Christian Church, where she served as Deacon, volunteered for rodeo and voting, and belonged to Sorority Sisters. Clarrissia retired from Southwestern Bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Linda Allene Roberts. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Joel T. Catlett; son Joel “Tommy” Catlett Jr .; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Julie, Becky, Clay, Kane, Joel and Emma; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Lee; and one sister, Phyllis Jones.
