Courtney Ellis was the winner of an unexpired term on the Wanette Board of Education, according to unofficial election results from Tuesday Night.
Ellis polled 62 votes while her opponent, Jerry A. Plumley, had 28.
The special election was held to fill the Office No. 5 seat.
