Trevor Martin puts lines up for a hard hit.

Asher baseball is headed to state.

The Indians' regional tournament looked to be a rough one since the number two ranked Lookeba-Sickles and the number ten ranked Oilton were in the mix, but the Indians, ranked sixth, blew through the competition easily to become regional champs.

The first game against Oilton was an almost shutout. Oilton only squeezed one run past Asher who put up 16 runs on the board for the win.

The Indians then upset Lookeba-Sickles in a 6-1 victory.

Asher pitcher Trevor Martin won the game by only allowing three hits, while Lookeba-Sickles' pitcher allowed ten.

Martin pitched 17 strikeouts on 121 pitches.

The Indians will play their first state tournament game today (Thursday) at 1:30 pm in Oklahoma City at Dolese Park's Palmer field. They play the fifth ranked Vici Indians.

The winner of that game will play against the winner of Red Oak versus McCurtain.
