Earlsboro Whips Macomb In An Easy Home Court Victory

Earlsboro Wildcats and Lady Wildcats secured easy victories last Tuesday in home games against Macomb.

The Lady Wildcats scored almost three times as many points as the Lady Hornets in the 63-22 triumph.

Mariana Siquieros took the lead in points for the Lady Wildcats, scoring 14.

No other Earlsboro player scored in the double digits, but it was a team effort as nine other players scored.

Lacy Haynes scored nine points, Anesah Lindsay scored eight, Alexis Coon, Tahnya Kennedy and Abbey McCarroll scored six points each, Sierra Streater scored five points, Hannah Lena scored four points, Haley Sullivan scored three points and Alex Peters scored two points.

The Lady Hornets as a team had trouble getting points on the board, as only four players scored.

Mariah Carolina stood out, however, with a game high of 16 points and three three-pointers.

Peyton Powell, Arie Hazell and Kathleen Dobbs scored the rest of the Lady Hornets points with two each.

This win puts the Lady Wildcats at 7-5 going into the Winter Break.

The Earlsboro boys also scored big points against Macomb, winning their game 58-35.

Brady Sheets scored the most points for the Wildcats with a game high of 20.

Just like the Lady Wildcats, the Wildcats took the victory as a team with eight other scorers: Elijah Maher, 8; Micah Anderson, 7; Cody Skaggs, 6; Cory Poe, George Ring and Dante Hall, 4 each; Eryn Johnson, 3; Josh Cox, 2.

Alex Barry scored the team high for the Hornets with eight points, followed by Blaine Cage with seven, Brett Barry with six, Burney Chester with five, Kevin Mejia with four, and Donald Akens and Tyler Denney with two each.

The Wildcats are now 8-6, and the Hornets are now 5-5.Earlsboro will pick up after Winter Break with Tupelo on Jan. 7.

Macomb played Wanette Tuesday and will play Maud Thursday.
