Honors Continue For Tecumseh Football

Tecumseh Savages rush onto the gridiron before a home game in November 2019. Multiple members of the team received honors after a third place District 4A-2 finish to the season.

High school football season has been over for a bit and the honors continue to be handed out. The Tecumseh Savages finished a fine year and now are having several players recognized for their playoff season.

Jackson Phelps earned first team Little All-City as an offensive lineman. Phelps also earned Honorable Mention as an All-Stater and he was previously named All-District Offensive Lineman of the year in 4A-2.

Will Hilton and Ethan Rickey each were named second team All-City. Hilton was the second team quarterback and Rickey was a second team lineman. Honorable Mention All-City Savages were running back Jaylen Walker, tight end Alex Schovanec, defensive back Clayton Rackley and punter Dylan Graham. Receiving Honorable Mention All-State, along with Phelps were Hilton, Schovanec and Rackley.

Tecumseh finished the regular season at 7-3 and a third-place finish in District 4A-2 before losing in the first round of the playoffs at Cache.
