Tecumseh Golden Age Center
January 30, 2020
Where has January gone? We celebrated birthdays for January on the 15th for Nelda Farrow, John Miller, Louann Parson, Steven Thomas, and Carol Wood. Happy birthday to you!
We want to express our sympathy to the family of Gay Gower who passed away on Jan. 12 after a lengthy illness. She was such an active member of the senior center and volunteer for the community. She will be missed!
Thanks to John Vincent for bringing us up to date on the latest changes in Medicare benefits. Call 800-763-2828 for your insurance questions.
We welcome our new dishwasher! You must be over 60 years of age to eat at the Golden Age Center, but no matter what age you are, you need to have a positive attitude. I want to borrow a quote from Charles Swindoll on attitude.
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home.
“The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way…we cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one thing we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you… WE are in charge of our ATTITUDES.”
