The Roaring Twenties

19th Annual Tecumseh Chamber Dinner, Auction Monday

February 6, 2020

Tickets are still available for this year’s annual Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce Dinner and Auction, ‘The Roaring Twenties,” set for Monday, Feb. 10, at Tecumseh City Hall.

Tickets can be purchased at the chamber office or by calling 598-8666. You can also e-mail your ticket order to [email protected] Individual tickets for the prime rib or chicken meal are $40 and a table of eight is $320.

Donations are pouring in daily. This year’s auction has many unique items from a 24-carat diamond ring, full page color ad in a local newspaper, iWatch, little red wagon or a set of tires.

Another beautiful print from Walt Rose will be available along with an original pastel from Barbara Hertz. Jewelry, speakers, garden items and power tools will also take center stage. Many more items plus gift certificates and gift baskets have been donated and will be available for purchase.

The silent auction opens at 5:30 pm with dinner served at 6:30. Be sure to bring a little bit of cash with you to help your table purchase the dessert of your choice. Cakes, pies, and other sweets have been donated by individuals and bakeries. Each table will collect money to purchase a dessert, then the table with the most money picks first and so on down the line. The best part is EVERY table gets a dessert – no one is left out.

The auction is the chamber’s major fundraiser each year, with money going to support a variety of community projects.
