Schools Provide Meals, Despite Closings

Local schools have meal delivery systems well underway across the county. Here is recap of how it's set up:
Meal delivery began Monday with buses only running twice on Monday and twice on Friday at the scheduled drop-off times.
On Monday, multiple meals will be given at every stop in order for students to have two meals each day for a four-day period. The buses will run again on Friday, providing students again with meals for multiple days.

Provide your name, address, contact number, total in household 18 and under, and total household members.
Students who walk to Shawnee Early Childhood Center will be served by Route #4 (Jefferson). All other SECC students will use one of the elementary school routes in which they live.
Shawnee Middle School students will select their typical bus route number or elementary school neighborhood if they do not ride a bus.
Shawnee High School students will select their elementary school neighborhood. High school students living in the Grove area will be served by Will Rogers Route #11. Those living in the North Rock Creek area will be served by Will Rogers Route #10.
If you need assistance in finding the correct delivery route, call the SPS Transportation Department at 405- 878-1021 beginning at 6 a.m., Monday, March 23.
Buses #18-#22 will make their regular stops beginning at 8:35 a.m.
Jefferson Meal Routes - (Routes #1, #2, and #4; approximately from Broadway to west side of District and from Independence South)
Horace Mann Meal Routes - (Routes #3 and #8; approximately south of Highland and east of Kickapoo)
Sequoyah Meal Routes - (Routes #5 and #9; approximately between Independence and Highland and east of Broadway)
Will Rogers Routes - (Routes #6, #7, #10, and #11; approximately north of Independence and west of Harrison)
Each student can pick up a free "grab-and-go" meal in person fromCross Timbers Elementary School located at 1111 W. Highland Street between 11 am and 1 pm each weekday.
The meals will consist of breakfast and lunch items packaged in one container. An employee will meet the student outside at the circle drive located on the south side of the building. The school building will be closed to the general public.
Once a student picks up his/her meal, we ask that she or he return home or to another location.
Tecumseh Public Schools will deliver meals to all normal bus drop off points on all routes in the district following the schedule that can be found below. Children should pick up their free meals in person unless they are sick or otherwise unable to make it to the bus stop location.

A more specific window of delivery times for each bus stop will be available after the first few days of meal delivery.
In case of inclement weather, meal deliveries on bus routes may be delayed to keep students safe from severe storms. You can check the News section near the bottom of the school's homepage for information about rescheduling if severe weather is in the area during the time of a meal delivery. Our school's web address is: http://www.tecumseh.k12.ok.us. If we inadvertently miss a stop while delivering meals, please call (405)598-3739 before 1 pm. We will schedule a time to meet you later in the afternoon at the bus stop with your child's meals.
Grab N Go meal service - FREE breakfast and lunch in one pick up. Any child 18 and under is welcome to pick up during the hours of 10 am to noon FREE of charge at the south end of the main [Hamilton] building.
This is a one lane drive thru. Please make sure to go a block down and make the regular pick up route. DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING! Please STAY IN your car. Meals will be brought to you!
From 10 am to noon each missed school day, we will be giving out breakfast and lunch, at the same time, through our nutrition provider, Keystone. This will be brought out to your vehicle by one of us, back in the circle turn around behind the schools.
We will be providing breakfast and lunch to any school age children Monday-Friday from 8 am-noon. Buses will bring breakfast and lunch to bus stops. The buses will leave school at 8:30. The child must be present to receive the meal.
Any school age child may pick up breakfast and/or lunch at the cafeteria between 8 am noon. You must take the meal to go. This applies to any school age child regardless of district.
Please do not come in the cafeteria if you are feeling ill or have a fever. We will try to make arrangements to bring your meal out to you.
Free meals for children 18 years and under - not required to be a Maud student. Breakfast and lunch in one grab and go daily Monday through Friday (10 am-noon) until school resumes.
Grab-and-go feeding program - drivethru service next to the upper cafeteria, from 8 -10 am, M-F, each week. To receive these meals you will enter the high school parking lot on the west end of the cafeteria. PLEASE DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. Someone will come to your car and provide you with the meals. The students receiving the meals MUST be in the car. This is per federal guidelines. Breakfast and lunch will be in one bag.
Drive through pickup for breakfast and lunch on the south side of the Early Childhood building. Breakfast will be offered from 7:30 to 8:30 am and lunch will be offered from 11:30 to 12:30 Monday through Thursday each week.
These meals will be free to all students 18 and under. Walkers will be served as well, but will be asked to take the meals home to eat and not remain on campus.
Drive-by pick-up 10:30-11:30 AM Monday through Friday.

Provide your name, contact number and total in household 18 and under. We understand that you may be a caretaker for individuals that are not typically our students; they will count, too.
