April 19: Lowest new cases reported since March; COVID-19 SITUATION UPDATE

April 19, 2020 – Today's total number of COVID-19 cases is 2,599, an increase of 29 new cases, as reported by the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH), with one new fatality, a Delaware County female, aged 65 or older.

The increase in new cases is the lowest reported by OSDH since March 24, when the total number of confirmed cases increased by 25 from the previous daily report by OSDH.

Pottawatomie County now shows 36 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 4 deaths and 22 recovered patients, leaving 10 known active cases, according to the state agency.

In Shawnee, 24 total cases have been documented, with 15 reported in the 74801 zip code and eight in the 74804 area. OSDH data shows 12 Shawnee patients recovered.

Throughout the rest of the County, OSDH data reflects the following: four cases in McLoud, with three recovered; three recovered in Asher; two recovered in Tecumseh; one recovered in Earlsboro; and one active positive case in Maud.
