A Big Thank You
May 14, 2020

It’s wasn’t easy to be sure about this, but Tuesday Past really was the end of the 2019-20 school year in Pottawatomie County and across the rest of Oklahoma. Yeah, we know. Here and in most areas in state, there were no students, no buses, few if any teachers and not much else in the Palaces of Education. Most of the children were at home where they were expected to be learning via the web. Teachers were on the other end, of course, but in this age the other end can be their home as easily as actually in a schoolhouse. If there are no students to haul, that translates to no need for buses. And on and on. You get the idea.
We take our hats off to the teachers, students, principals and other system officials all the way to the superintendent level. This was tough on everyone, we know, and we hope it will never happen again. Thanks for the cool way you all handled it. You made things easier for everyone.
And now on the School Year 2020-21. Is everyone ready out there? Really?
