Safety Guidelines for Fall Sports Announced

Masks Required for All Spectators

Sept. 9, 2020Shawnee Public Schools has announced guidelines for all those attending fall sporting events, including the Wolves varsity football home opener Friday, Sept. 11 at Jim Thorpe Stadium.

Masks or face coverings are required for everyone entering the athletic facility. Spectators should wear their face coverings at all times inside the facility.

All spectators should make every effort to have exact change for gate and concession transactions.

Gate entry for volleyball, softball, and non-varsity football is $5 for adults and students K-12.

Gate entry for varsity football is $7 for adults and $5 for students K-12.

Pre-game ticket sales will be available at Jim Thorpe Stadium's ticket booth 4-6 p.m. Wed., Sept. 9, and Thurs., Sept. 10. The ticket booth opens Friday at 5 p.m.

An All-Sports Student pass for K-12 students is available for $10. Student passes may be purchased at the Athletic Offices in the PAAC or at the Jim Thorpe Stadium ticket booth.

Ticket sellers and concession workers will be wearing masks and gloves. Patrons should make efforts to maintain social distancing as much as possible in these areas and throughout the stadium. Concession stands will be selling only prepackaged items such as candy bars, chips, crackers, etc. All beverages will be in bottles.

Kickoff for Friday's game against the Ardmore Tigers is at 7 p.m. Senior Night recognitions for football, cheer, pom, band, choir and cross country will begin at 6:15 p.m. Introductions of the Hall of Fame honorees will be made during halftime.
