Shawnee Opens Debris Removal Drop Off

November 19, 2020

The City of Shawnee has opened a location for citizens (you can use your water bill as proof of residence) to drop off debris from October's ice storm. At the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center, the entrance is located east of the grandstands from Darrien Gordon Dr.

Additionally, teams have started the process of picking up curbside debris. Note that these teams will not be able to assist residents in moving debris curbside. As a reminder, please ensure that the debris is no greater than 10 feet in length and is separated from your normal curbside pickup such as poly carts. Do not cover your water meter. Code enforcement will not be issuing fines for curbside debris. This service will also include pickup along alleys where applicable.

For major tree removal and trimming such as trunks or limbs leaning on or against property, consider hiring a professional licensed and bonded tree trimming and removal company.
