Lori Lynn Freeman

 

Lori Lynn Freeman, 51, of Ada, Oklahoma, died Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Ada.

She was born Oct. 23, 1969, to Robert and Ada (James) Jackson in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Lori was raised in Shawnee where she attended Shawnee Public Schools. She graduated with the class of 1987 from Shawnee High School. Lori earned her bachelor's degree in business from OSU in Tulsa.

She married Michael Freeman on Oct. 20, 1990, at Trinity Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma. In 2001 they moved to Okmulgee where they lived for 18 years until making their home in Ada where they have lived since 2019.


Lori taught fourth and fifth grade at Henryetta until moving to Ada where she taught fourth grade.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Ada. Lori loved reading, especially her Bible, eating out, enjoyed bird watching, taking walks, and spending family time with her girls and Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ada (James) Jackson; and her in-laws, Reverend Sidney and June Freeman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of over 30 years, Michael Freeman of the home; two daughters, Mackenzie Freeman and Audrey Freeman of the home; a sister, Patti and Richard Carlson of Earlsboro; two nieces, Crystal Heatley and Erika Stephens; and many friends and extended family.


Services were held July 13 at Trinity Baptist Church in Ada with Reverend Rusty Fuller, Trinity Baptist Church, Lawrence Matlock and Richard Manning officiating. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
