County Breaks Ground For New Admin Building

City, county and state representatives participated in the groundbreaking ceremony held Monday afternoon, Aug. 23, on the site of the new county administrative building. Shane Jett, Commissioners Eddie Stackhouse, Melissa Dennis and Randy Thomas, County Assessor Leona Satterfield, County Treasurer Wendy Magnus , Court Clerk Valerie Ueltzen, County Clerk Raeshel Flewallen, Assistant Emergency Manager Nick Sampson, and County Emergency Manager Chad Larman. A shovel and hardhat was placed between Commissioners Dennis and Thomas in memory of Tommy Arnold who was the 911 director for the county.
Nearly 70 years after the county won the right to purchase unimproved property, the ground has been broken and construction will soon begin on the new administrative building.
