Project: SAFE received an Essential Programs Grant for $68,735.76 from the Avedis Foundation.

The Essential Programs Grant for Project: SAFE enables a consistency of services for domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking victims seeking assistance in Pottawatomie and Lincoln counties as well as the community volunteer and outreach program.

“It is an honor to support Project: SAFE and their mission of protecting victims of domestic violence,” said Kathy Laster, Ph.D. President and CEO Avedis Foundation. “Renee Clemmons her Staff and Board of Directors, provide vital support to vulnerable populations in our service area. This grant will allow for essential staffing positions to continue assisting clients and avoid potential delays in crisis intervention services.”

The Avedis Foundation continues to strive to measurably improve the health, wellness, and quality of life in the community by providing valuable guidance and support to local non-profits and organizations who work daily to improve services and resources.

Through the services provided by Project: SAFE victims are encouraged and supported with safety planning and trauma informed practices, and advocacy. They also receive assistance with filing protective order petitions, domestic violence education, and referral and support services.
