Macomb Summer School Car Show
Two teens look over a 1956 Dodge C-3B during a car show held in Macomb on June 23. The car show was part of Macomb’s 21st Century Summer School Program, with a “Time Travel Summer” theme. This was 1950s week, said program director Shannon Browning, who added that they would also have a sock hop that day. They have also been to medieval, colonial and the 1980s, and will travel to the Wild West next. There were 26 cars in the show, which was organized by Andy Reich of Romulus Baptist Church.
Several boys enjoy sitting in a 2023 Polaris Razor, which belongs to the grandfather of one of them, Howell Girod of Macomb. Shannon Browning, far left, the Macomb Summer School Program Director, was informing them of lunchtime on June 23. With a “Time Travel Summer” theme for the program, the Macomb Car Show was held for the first time in conjunction with 1950s week.
