A tree will be planted at the new Pottawatomie County Administration building in memory of District Attorney-Elect David Hammer.
Hammer won the election for DA on June 28 but passed away just five days later.
Chairman Eddie Stackhouse said a group of Shawnee attorneys visited with Dist. 1 Commissioner Melissa Dennis about planting the tree in front of the new administration building.
