The new Mayor of Maud, Jimmy Porterfield, appeared before the Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners Tuesday, Sept. 5, to discuss the ARPA funds approved in January for a new water tower for the town.
Mayor Porterfield said the cost of a new tower is estimated to be $1.5 million but the preliminary estimates to completely refurbish the existing tower is $500,000 to $600,00....
