Be a Hero with Oklahoma Blood Institute and help maintain blood supply for local hospitals this summer.
As the summer progresses you have the chance to be a lifesaving hero, as Oklahoma Blood Institute has an immediate need for blood donors.
“Summer traditionally challenges our ability to collect blood, as many are vacationing and outside of their normal routines,” said Dr. John Armitage, President and CEO of Oklahoma Blood Institute. “We’re so thankful to our loyal summer partners for helping us reward those who make their summer a lifesaving one by donating blood for those in need.”
All successful donors will receive a free “Blood Donor Hero” summer t-shirt (while supplies last) and choice of one free ticket to Frontier City or Science Museum Oklahoma, or two free tickets to Safari Joe’s H2O Water Park.
Donors of all blood types can give at one of our local donor centers or a local mobile drive. Blood can be donated every 56 days. Platelets can be donated as often as every seven days, up to 24 times a year.
