Grinchmas Parade, Whoville, Brings Community Together

The Savage Pride Marching Band performs in front of Tecumseh City Hall for five judges in the Grinchmas Holiday Parade and Marching Band Contest on Dec. 8. Tecumseh’s band won first place, but will be ineligible for voting next year. They received $1,000 and a trophy from the City of Tecumseh. The Whoville Express chugs along in the Grinchmas Holiday Parade and Marching Band Contest in Tecumseh on Dec. 8. The parade, organized by the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce, had 57 entries, and the City of Tecumseh sponsored the Marching Band Contest, which had five entries. The Douglass High School Marching Band performs in the Grinchmas Holiday Parade and Marching Band Contest in Tecumseh on Dec. 8. One baby did not want his picture taken with the Grinch on Dec. 8, following the Grinchmas Holiday Parade and Marching Band Contest. Free photos with the Grinch, free cocoa, crafts, games and face painting were available in "Whoville" at the Tecumseh City Hall Auditorium. Children make "snow globes" and angel ornaments for nursing home residents at one of the Home Church booths in "Whoville." The church also had a booth to decorate gift bags and one with face painting.
