McLoud Fire Chief Advocates A Change In Dispatch Services
McLoud Fire Chief Josh Jenkins addresses the City Council with a request to change dispatch services for the Fire Department. Jenkins said the McLoud Police Department is happy with the services they receive from Central Dispatch and will not make the transition. Only the Fire Department will make the move by January 2025.
Fire Chief Josh Jenkins addressed the McLoud City Council during the monthly meeting held Thursday, Sept. 26, requesting approval to begin the process of moving dispatch services from Central Dispatch to Shawnee Dispatch. “The delays in our current system can impact lives. Shawnee can provide better service, even if it requires some adjustments,” he explained.
