There are many things that kids look forward to in the summer, and one of them is snow cones. And, while Shawnee and the surrounding area have many snow cone stands, there is one that has stood the test of time.
The little white, wood-frame building with the square sliding window at 722 S. Beard has been a tradition since it originally opened in 1952.
