  • Will Rogers Elementary students read facts about each decade from the 1950s to 2000s to celebrate Will Roger’s birthday, which was on Nov. 4, 1879. They had originally planned to present “Will Rogers Through the Decades” at the November Board of Education meeting, but had to postpone until the Dec. 2 meeting due to weather.     The Rose Garden School was built in Shawnee in 1912 before Woodrow Wilson Elementary was built to the east at 1830 N.
