The Shawnee Public Schools Board of Education recently held three meetings.
They called an emergency meeting on April 21, following the extensive tornado damage to schools in the district. A declaration of emergency was approved and a resolution specified, “whereas, on April 19, 2023, a tornado, hail, wind and water struck multiple facilities on District property.”
