Shawnee Commission Puts Tax Increase On Jan. 23 Ballot

    Voters in Shawnee will cast their ballots on a 0.5 percent tax increase in January 2023. After much deliberation at the Monday Oct. 3 Commission meeting the board voted to approve the establishment of a 0.5 percent sales tax.
