    A motion to pay $3,150 in membership dues to Shawnee Forward died for lack of a second after an extensive discussion by county commissioners during the meeting held Tuesday, Aug. 11. Dist. 1 Commissioner and Board Chair Melissa Dennis said ending the contract did not mean she wanted the county to end its relationship with Shawnee Forward or stop participating in economic development incentives.
