People of all ages enjoy the Shawnee Splash Water Park on July 29. Parks and Recreation Manager Kerri Foster said they have had 23,780 visitors so far, and there have been 31 lifeguards employed at the pool this season. The water park’s last day will be on Aug. 12, when they will open 1-5:30 pm, and hold their “Doggie Dip Day” from 6-7:30 pm. The water park in Woodland Veterans Park has offered monthly Dive-In Movies during the summer and will host a "Doggie Dip Day" on Aug. 12, their last day for general admission.
