The historic totem pole from Woodland Veterans Park in Shawnee has been restored by students and faculty at Gordon Cooper Technology Center and returned to the park.

Shawnee, Oklahoma, December 29, 2023 – The City of Shawnee is delighted to share that the totem pole is back in Woodland Veterans Park! Our deep appreciation goes out to the SkillsUSA American Spirit Team for organizing the refurbishment project, and we are grateful to the Gordon Cooper Technology Center students and instructors for making the totem pole look new again.
