Asher Softball ends season in State Championship game
Asher freshman Karley King reaches for the catch at third base during the second inning of the Class B Slow Pitch State Championship game against Leedey, held at FireLake Ball Fields on May 6. The Lady Indians won the quarterfinals with Big Pasture, 4-3, and the semifinals against Lookeba-Sickles, 5-0, before falling to Leedey, 10-12. They end their season as the state runner-up, with a record of 28-9.
The second-ranked Asher Lady Indians Slow Pitch team bolted into the State Tournament and came just a couple of runs away from bringing home a Class B Championship.
