Seth Parker, Thunder Community Outreach Coordinator, shows two girls where they can find books for their age range on the Rolling Thunder Book Bus. Parker said they offer free books to those in kindergarten through fifth grade, and they travel around the state to libraries, schools and museums. A Tecumseh Fire Department fire engine was also there, as well as The Snow Shak with free snow cones.
Luke Webb, 10, of Tecumseh, makes his selection in the Tecumseh Public Library "Blind Date with a Book" fundraiser, with the help of mom, Becky Webb, Jennifer LaGrange, and library associate Cyndi Seeley during the "Rolling Thunder Book Bus" program, held at Slick Humphrey Park on June 18. The library has children's books covered with paper which only state their genre, available for a donation of $5. The book bus was also at the park with free books for those in kindergarten through fifth grade.
