Shawnee Superintendent Dr. Jason James announced at the Shawnee Public Schools Board of Education Aug. 10 meeting that they are working on an agreement with the Shawnee Association of Classroom Teachers (SACT).
Pending the SACT ratification during their meeting on Aug. 11, the agreement would include a larger raise than the state legislature approved in May, at $2,000 plus the state step up.
