Kamryn Hobia, a 6th-grader at Pleasant Grove - Shawnee, competed in the Oklahoma Rural Elementary School Division II State Cross Country Meet on Oct 3, 2026. She ran most of the race with one shoe, losing the other shortly after the race began. She finished in first place with a time of 9:46:18, competing against 6th-8th-graders across the state.
