The Bethel Lady Wildcats soared to District Champions with a 66-23 win over the Atoka.
Bethel attacked the Wampus Cats with a 10 point lead in the first quarter. By halftime, the Lady Wildcats outscored Atoka 29-8.
The Ladies needed two points in the third quarter to match its first-half score.
Junior Josie Megehee led the team with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals.
Teammate Parker Stephenson also netted 20 points. Brooklyn Duff added 7 points to the books, followed by Baylee Tapley with 5, Hannah Davidson and Bella Thomas with 4 each, and Kassidy Depuy, Lilly Megehee, and Annie Compton with 2 points each.
Davidson pulled down 9 rebounds, followed by Stevenson with 5, Compton with 4, and Duff with 3. Tapley, Depuy, L. Megehee, and Thomas had 2 rebounds each and Cadence Treece with 1.
The Lady Wildcats will take on Davis at 6:30 pm Friday, Feb. 24, at Atoka in the first round of Regionals. The winner will play the Kingston vs. Prague game-winner at Prague Monday, Feb. 28 at 6:30 pm. A loss will drop Bethel into the consolation bracket where they will travel to Prague to tip-off against Lexington at 6:30 pm.
