"Cruise the 'Poo" was held on July 30 at the Brown Derby in Shawnee. Several car enthusiasts came out to eat at the 67-year-old restaurant and drive up and down Kickapoo from 5-8 pm, as many did in their teen years. This event is held monthly weather permitting and was brought back to Shawnee culture four or five years ago, according to classic car owner Danny Mellinger. Countywide & Sun/Natasha Dunagan
