Shawnee Parade Features 88 Entries

The Lifted Fitness Studio float won first place in the Shawnee Christmas Parade on Dec. 1 out of 88 entries. The Shawnee Square Eights took second place, and the Potawatomi Fire placed third. The Mayor's Pick was the Shawnee Soccer Association's entry, and the Grand Marshal's Pick was the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center float. Shawnee Christmas Parade

As in recent years, fireworks followed the Shawnee Christmas Parade at either end of Main Street on Dec. 1. The fireworks were funded through a contract with the City of Shawnee and Community Renewal of Pottawatomie County who organized the parade, said CRPC Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
