The district 2A-2 football coaches met on Dec. 10 to determine the coveted post-season alldistrict team.

Pottawatomie was well-represented, with Bethel and Meeker both being members.

Jones (10-4) finished as district champion and lost in the semifinals to Washington (15-0), who won the Class 2A State Championship after consecutive State Runner-up finishes. Chandler (10-3) lost in the quarterfinals and Crossings Christian (8-3) and Luther (6-5) both lost in the first round.

Meeker (3-7) finished 5th, and Bethel (4-6) followed at 6th. Kellyville (3-7) avoided the cellar finish that went to Star Spencer (1-9).

Bethel had two players win top honors: John Allred, Defensive Player of the Year, and C.J. Compton, Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Meeker had three: Johnny Butler, Defensive Tackle of the Year, Ty Gabbart, Quarterback of the Year, and Jason Brewer, Receiver of the Year.

Bethel had four players on the First-Team All-District team: Johnathan Harris (wide receiver), Zac Roybal (wide receiver), Alex Tollett (offensive line), and Gavin O’Rorke (defensive end).

Meeker’s Brandon Harris was also First-Team All-District at wide receiver.

Bethel’s Tise Ramsey received Honorable Mention All-District at wide receiver.
