Willa A. Powell passed away Jan. 31, 2023.
She was born June 16, 1941 to Martin and Dora (White) Stein in Wellston, Oklahoma.
Willa graduated in 1959 from Wellston High School. She attended Draughon’s Business School in Oklahoma City for accounting.
She married Thomas J. Powell on Sep. 15, 1962 in Nicoma Park, Oklahoma. Willa was a lifelong bookkeeper working at Modern Office Supply, Barton Valve and CTSA at the time of her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler D. Smith; parents, Martin and Dora Stein; and brother, Larry Stein.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 60 years, Tom Powell of the home; one daughter and son-inlaw, Jeannette and Jerry Smith of Prague, OK; one son and daughterin- law, Barry and DeLynn Powell of Tecumseh, OK; two grandchildren, Kristen Bean and husband Randy
and Robert Powell; two great-grandchild, Aiden Bean and Benson Powell; two sisters, Freda Mullen Dore of Wellston, OK and Wanda Guthrie of Kerns, TX; and other extended family and friends.
Services were held Feb. 6, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Emmons, Prague First Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed at Prague Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
