Sheryl Lynne (Walker) Bell passed away Feb. 7, 2023.
She was born Sep. 3, 1965 in Tulare, California to John Perry Walker, Sr. and Margaret Jewell (New) Walker.
Sheryl was raised in Alabama and attended school in Dothan, Alabama. She married Mark Preston Bell, Sr. on October 9, 1988 in Tecumseh, OK.
Sheryl attended Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech in Shawnee, OK and obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing degree.
She worked in most of the area nursing homes, but spent most of her 26 year nursing career at Colonial Estates Nursing Home in Shawnee.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Jewell Spivey; her stepfather, Earnest “Terry” Spivey; and granddaughter, Quinn Bell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mark Preston Bell, Sr. of the home; daughter, Shari “Michelle” Kilpatrick and husband Cole of Tecumseh, OK; three sons, Michael Dewayne Bell of Newalla, OK, Brandon Lee Bell of Moore, OK and Mark Preston Bell, Jr. and wife Trystah of Shawnee, OK; 9 grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Candy and John Phipps of AL, Dixie and Jeremy Plumley of FL, Susan and Ty Chailland of MO, and Kimberly and Rodney McGriff of AL; brother, John Walker, III of AL; and other extended family and friends.
Services were held Feb. 11, 2023 at Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed at New Hope Cemetery in Tecumseh under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
