    John H. “Jack” Tesmer II passed away

    April 8 ,2023.

    Jack was born on July 7, 1938 to Dorothy Bernice Keyes Tesmer.

    He worked for Bliss Auto Wreckers in NY and owned Indian Jacks Southern Parts. He also worked for Rath’s Auto Salvage in Tecumseh, OK, until fully retired. He was living in Filmore, NY at the time of his passing.

    Jack served in the Army in 1957, during the Korean War.

    He was preceded in death by his mother, brother: Paul Nowak; Sons: John Tesmer III and Mark Tesmer , daughters: Chis Tesmer and Kelly Jo, grandson: Layne Simmons and other grandchildren due to a house fire.

    Jack is survived by his daughter and son in law: Desiree and Kenneth Perl, Bliss, NY; son and daughter in law: Dan and Lisa Tesmer, Friendship, NY; daughter and son in law: Shylo and Jammie Simmons, Myrtle Creek, OR; daughters: Carrie Ann Ennis, Jamestown, NY, Laurie Tangelder, Cheektowaga, NY, Janice Baurle, Hollywood FL, many grandchildren and great-grandchilren, nieces and nephews, long-time companion and friend, Rhonda Talley, Tecumseh, OK; sister and brother-inlaw Cindy and Dennis Janukowski, brother and sister n law Rick and Bonnie Lojeck, and step-children: Tara Talley, Beaux Talley and Braden Talley.

    Graveside services are being planned for a later date in NY. Joel Stroud, Pastor and friend, will officiate. Burial will be in East Koy Cemetary, East Koy , NY.

    Johnnie Rudyard Coker

    Johnnie Rudyard Coker passed away April 8, 2023.

    Johnnie was born May 26, 1934 in Shawnee, OK to Rudyard and Leva Mary Coker.

    He graduated from Bethel High School in 1953.

    He married Billie Irene Lee on May 18, 1956 in Tecumseh, OK.

    Johnnie retired from Tinker AFB after 30 years.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, and great grandson, Adrian Ray Moore III.

    Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Billie Coker of the Home; three sons, Jay and Candy Coker of Earlsboro, Rann and Darla Coker of Ft Worth, TX and Lee Coker of Piedmont, OK; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and J.D. Lester of Sapulpa and Martha and Darrel Lanier of Moore, OK; two brothers and sisters-in law, Jimmie and Pat Coker of Shawnee and Phillip and Dolores Coker of Bethel, OK; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

    Services were held on April 12, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, of Tecumseh, with Reverend Clint Dawkins from Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed at New Hope Cemetery.

    Royetta June Wright

    Royetta June Wright passed away April 7th, 2023.

    Royetta was born on April 19, 1958 in Arkadelphia, AR to Owen CM Carpenter and Della June (Mc-Guiness) Carpenter.

    She graduated high school in Fort Worth, Texas. She worked for several years at Bethany Christian Academy and later Oklahoma Children’s Hospital.

    She is preceded in death by her mother and her father.

    She is survived by two sons, Lee Wright of Shawnee and Keith Wright of Oklahoma City; by a sister, Linda Christianson and husband Don of Eugene, OR; by a brother, Wayne Carpenter and wife Janelle of Edmond; two nieces, Noel Carpenter and Laura Thompson; and one nephew Ethan Carpenter; as well as many other friends and extended family.

    Following cremation, a service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee.
