Carl Victor Harris passed away April 13, 2023.
He was born November 8, 1943, to Thomas and Lydia (Green) Harris in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Carl graduated from Meeker High School and from O.B.U. earning his Master’s degree.
He taught school before being drafted into the Army. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from November 11, 1966, until he was medically discharge on January 8, 1968.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Lydia Harris; brothers: Robert Harris, Carol Harris, John Harris, Eddie Harris, Thomas Martin Harris and James Milton Harris; four sisters: Doris Johnson, Virginia Ramey, Iva Mae Rimer and Margaret Reed.
Survivors include two brothers: Jack Harris of Chandler, OK and Sammy Harris of Meeker, OK; two sisters: Sue Hartwell of Davis and Shirley Rimer of Meeker, Ok: numerous, nieces, Nephews and other extended family and friends.
Services were held April 18, 2023, at Aydelotte Baptist Church with Pastor Monty Dean, Aydelotte Baptist Church and Pastor Tyler Porter, Lakeside Trinity Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
