Dena (Miller) Holmes passed away on April 12, 2023.
Dena was born on March 7, 1938, in Orienta Oklahoma to Harry and Rowena Kliewer.
Dena met her future husband Ray Miller at Dalhart Grain Elevator in Texas. Ray refused to let her truck down off the elevator until she agreed to a date. One week later they were married and entered 29 years of marriage until Ray’s death in 1986.
In 2003 Dena retired from Farm Fresh Dairy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oscar Ray Miller, one brother Boyd Kliewer and one sister Donna Barrett.
She is survived by two daughters: Janie (Mike) Nichols of Tecumseh and Margie (Tom) Crawley of Tecumseh; One brother: Gerald Kliewer (Susan); one sister: Linda Cleaver (Will); four grandchildren: April (Mike) Morris, Jason (Cozy) Nichols, Thomas Waylon (Stephanie) Crawley and Walker (Kaylee) Crawley; Six great grandchildren: Gideon Morris, Summer Nichols, Zander Nichols, Grace Crawley, Emma Crawley and Ellie Crawley; and a number of special nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on April 28, 2023, at Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church with Mark Compton officiating. Burial will follow at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
