The Barnard Elementary LEGO Savages recently attended the FIRST Robotics LEGO League World Festival in Houston, TX, and received the Coding Award. They received medals and a trophy made from LEGOs. Their Team Mentor Mardesia (Finch) Johnson said, “They met a lot of people from all over the world and also saw some amazing things like Bumble Bee, NASA, and works from Disney and Pixar. It was a world class experience.” Shown, from left, are Austin Qualls, Landon Williams, Emory Cox, Jude LaChappell (in front), Cameron Thompson (in back), Stetson Smith, and Team Mentor Mardesia (Finch) Johnson.
