Paul Eugene West passed away on May 1, 2023.
He was born July 27th, 1945 to Willard Paul and Zelma Ruby West.
Paul was a 1963 graduate of Dale High School. He attended OSU and Murray State until joining the Army from 1968-1971 where he served overseas in Germany. Paul worked for the United States Postal Service from 1971 until his retirement in 2001.
Paul was a long-time volunteer of the IFYR Rodeo.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Leonard Sullivan.
Paul is survived by his wife, Ruth Anne West of the home, daughter, Kristin West-Maddox and husband Russell Maddox of Shawnee; grandsons: Joseph Maddox and fiancé Megan Peloquin of Texarkana, TX, Specialist 4 Matthew Maddox of the US Space Force of Ft. Meade, MD, Robert Maddox of Mena, AR, one beloved granddaughter, Madison Maddox of Shawnee, OK; sister: Marilyn Sullivan of Edmond, and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins that were so special to him.
Services were held at 10:00 May 10, 2023 at the Walker Funeral Chapel with David Price officiating. Following the ceremony, Paul was laid to rest at Dale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dale Band Program.
